The DACS-PC for Windows NT product offers a new debugger command
Search Memory in the 4.7.15b general release. The command search memory
can be used to search a range of memory for a specified pattern. The command
may also be used with the not option to find the first non-occurrence of the
pattern. The size option may be specified to indicate the size of the elements
of the pattern. The step option indicates how many bits are advanced before
attempting a subsequent match of the pattern. Combined these options provide
the flexibility of searching for a dword element on a byte or dword boundary.
In addition, the pattern to search for may be specified as a string.
The next option allows a search to be continued from a previous match, without
specifying all of the search criteria updating the address range to exclude the
original match. The following example searches for the first dword with a value
of one, that is aligned on a word boundary.
