Job Title: Software Engineer – Real-Time Operating Systems (1 opening)


Position Overview
DDC-I, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a software engineer with experience as a developer or power user of Real-Time Operating Systems. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for an Eclipse based tool set which offers a state-of-the-art solution for real-Time Java, C, C++, Ada, and mixed language development.

Requirements:

  • Experience in development and maintenance of RTOS, or
  • Experience with RTOS as a power user configuring RTOSes to specific targets, incl. Board Support Packages, device drivers
  • Solid knowledge of the C programming language
  • Experience with an object oriented language
  • Experience in assembly language programming
  • BSEE/BSCS/BSCE in Computer Science or equivalent. MSCS/MSEE/MSCE is an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required for customer care initiatives where customers have direct access to DDC-I development engineers
  • Availability for occasional travel to customer site as needed

Additional Considerations:

  • Specific RTOS experience (VxWorks, LynxOS or POSIX)
  • Some familiarity with Eclipse and development of Eclipse plug-ins
  • Experience with Power Architecture technology and Pentium processor architectures
  • Full-time employment preferred, however we are open to independent contracting
