Systems Administrator

Position Overview

DDC-I, Inc is an embedded software development company looking for a systems administrator. This candidate will manage infrastructure for ~35 mostly remote employees around the U.S. & International. In this role you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining IT best practice policies and procedures. This position requires someone who is focused, works well individually, and can handle multitasking requests from a growing team. Although DDC-I supports a distributed workforce, only candidates local to Phoenix will be considered for the Systems Administrator position.

Controller (Full Time)

DDC-I, Inc., is a software developer looking for a Controller. This is a challenging opportunity located in the Phoenix / Paradise Valley area, and will require a detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment. In this role, you will be responsible for all operational functions of accounting, including consolidation and accumulation of financial data from various systems, evaluating accounting and internal controls, and organizing and streamlining monthly close processes. The Corporate Controller reports directly to the CEO and serves as a crucial partner to the Management Team.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in the software industry (construction or manufacturing experience may suffice)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced knowledge in Excel)


  • Oversee the accuracy of all day-to-day accounting activities, including payroll, payables, receivables, cost accounting, and preparation of financial statements
  • Manage all employee benefit programs
  • Support the company auditors in annual financial review and tax preparation as required
  • Manage the budgeting process and financial forecast updates
  • Oversee the company headquarters office

Software Engineer – Real-Time Operating Systems (Multiple Openings)

Position Overview

DDC-I, Inc is looking for talented people to join the software development team of DDC-I's Industry Leading DO-178C Certifiable - Deos™ multicore operating system with SafeMC™ Technology.

This candidate will contribute to the continued evolution of the Deos Real Time Operating System (RTOS) focusing on RTOS related features for safety critical applications. Deos' development began in 1995 and it has been developed with complete verification evidence to the guidance of DO-178 since the development of requirements for the first line of software. Deos was first audited to Design Assurance Level A (DAL A) during the certification of the Bombardier Global Express in 1998 and since that first deployment it has been used as a platform for dozens of avionics functions and is flying on 10's of thousands of aircraft worldwide.

The main responsibilities of this position will be to contribute to the development, maintenance, enhancement, testing and verification of the RTOS technologies to the guidance of DO-178C DAL A. The position will work with a variety of target platforms (PowerPC, ARM, Intel) working closely with a distributed development team of safety critical software experts.

Location:  Anywhere (DDC-I supports a distributed workforce)


- 5+ years development experience with Embedded RTOS experience, Deos experience a huge plus.
- RTCA DO-178C software development experience a huge plus
- Experience in the development and testing of real-time systems or applications.
- Practical experience with both the C and C++ language and at least one microprocessor assembly language.
- Strong Debugging and problem solving skills.
- Experience with Embedded Tools a plus.
- Experience with Safety Standards or Certification is required.
- BSCS/BSCE/BSEE or Equivalent.
- Masters degree is an asset.

Software Developer (Full-Time)

Position Overview

DDC-I is currently in search of a Software Developer with Java and Eclipse experience to join our team. DDC-I provides software for safety critical embedded software developers including DO-178C DAL A certifiable real-time operating systems, compilers, debuggers, integrated development environments (IDE) and Ada run-time systems. The successful candidate will be involved in all phases of the software development life cycle. This is a fantastic opportunity to engage in a positive and creative work environment.

- Develop and implement new features for the IDE
- Maintain and improve the performance of the IDE
- Develop and maintain tests to validate the IDE

Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- Java programming language (C++,Python helpful)

- Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively

Regional Sales Manager– Real-Time Operating Systems

Position Overview
DDC-I, Inc. has a unique opportunity for an experienced sales manager. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for creating new sales of DO-178 certifiable RTOSs.


  • Knowledgeable of the avionics market
  • Experience in technical software sales, such as RTOSs, compilers, or other tools
  • Ability to ferret out new sales opportunities, initiate engagement (e.g., cold call), and drive through the sales processes towards building a long-term & successful customer relationship
  • Must be self-starter and self-managed
  • Diligent in following sales processes
  • Long-term and high-integrity sales mentality

Job Description:

  • High-value (six or seven figure) sales, targeting the high-end of the RTOS market
  • Regional territory sales management for technical software products and services
  • Primary responsibility is development of new customers, promoting the differentiation of DDC-I as a company and the benefits of our products. This requires customer targeting, strategic sales processes, cold calling, working with C-level management, etc.
  • Further develop tier 1 customer relations
