Deos running atop Freescale PowerQUICC® II Pro and PowerQUICC III processors provides an ideal platform for developing and hosting mil/aero and other safety-critical applications, particularly those requiring high design assurance and timely DO-178B certification.

Deos is the industry’s most robust, highest performance RTOS for the safety-critical market. Featuring deterministic real-time response, the memory-protected RTOS employs patented “slack scheduling” to deliver higher CPU utilization than any other safety-critical COTS RTOS. freescalePowerQUICC III processors are based on the scalable e500 SoC platform and Power Architecture® processor core. Utilizing Freescale’s 90-nm silicon-on-insulator (SOI) copper interconnect process technology, PowerQUICC III processors feature clock speeds of up to 1.5 GHz and offer a wide range of high-speed connectivity options, including Gigabit Ethernet, Serial RapidIO and PCI Express.
