Premier Israeli development tools supplier to offer DDC-I’s best-in-class safety-critical RTOS, tools, and certification services for avionics applications
Phoenix, AZ. August 29, 2012. DDC-I, a leading supplier of software and professional services for mission- and safety-critical applications, today announced that it has signed an exclusive sales agreement with Itec Ltd. Itec will offer DDC-I’s best-in-class safety-critical Deos™ real-time operating system, eclipse-based OpenArbor™ development tools and certification services to commercial and military avionics customers in Israel.
“DDC-I is pleased to announce the exclusive appointment of Itec to continue the growth of our Deos product line into the Israeli avionics market” said Laurent Meilleur, vice president of sales for DDC-I. “Itec is uniquely positioned to offer the benefits of our best-in-class RTOS, tools, and certification services in Israel through their experienced and professional staff, strong reputation in the territory, and very complimentary product line.”
Deos is an embedded RTOS that has been used in hundreds of safety-critical avionics applications on commercial and military aircraft. Certified to DO-178B DAL A since 1998, the time and space partitioned RTOS features deterministic real-time response and employs patented “slack scheduling” to deliver higher CPU utilization than any other certifiable safety-critical COTS RTOS. Deos is built from the ground up for safety-critical applications, and is the only certifiable time and space partitioned COTS RTOS that has been created using RTCA DO-178B, Level A processes from the very first day of its product development. Deos also provides the easiest, lowest cost path of any COTS RTOS to DO-178B Level A certification, the highest level of safety criticality.
OpenArbor is an Eclipse-based integrated development environment (IDE). Featuring C and C++ optimizing compilers, OpenArbor provides a color-coded source editor, project management support, automated build/make utilities, and a multi-window, symbolic debugger. The debugger recognizes C and C++ expressions and can view objects, expressions, call chains, execution traces, interspersed machine code, machine registers, and program stacks. The debugger is non-intrusive, can debug at the source or machine level, and can be enabled without changing the generated code.
