DDC-I to Exhibit at FACE™ Technical Interchange Meeting and Exposition

Will showcase Deos safety-critical RTOS at Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE™) Consortium venue

Phoenix, AZ. March 26, 2013. DDC-I, a leading supplier of software and professional services for mission- and safety-critical applications, today announced that it will exhibit at the FACE™ Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM) and Exposition. DDC-I will showcase its Deos safety-critical RTOS, which employs patented “slack scheduling” to deliver higher CPU utilization than any other DO-178-certifiable safety-critical COTS RTOS.

The FACE™ TIM/Exposition will be held on April 2, hosted by the US Air Force at the Holiday Inn Dayton/Fairborn in Fairborn, OH, near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Over 25 partners from industry and government will showcase examples of products that are aligned with the FACE Technical Standard that helps ensure warfighters can quickly and affordably benefit from continued software innovations.

The TIM/Expo will consist of examples of FACE tools and applications by industry partners from the FACE Consortium. The items demonstrated have potential for adoption of the FACE Technical Standard. This venue is open to all visitors who are interested in open standards and open architectures for aviation systems.

“Software reuse through portability has been a design element of Deos™ from its inception,” said Bob Morris, president and CEO of DDC-I. “Software portability, interoperability, reuse, ease of certification, and rapid technology delivery are fundamental to everything we do. We look forward to working with the FACE Consortium to further these mutual goals and help reduce the cost of developing, maintaining and updating avionics software.”

About Deos
Deos™ is an embedded RTOS that has been used in hundreds of safety-critical avionics applications on commercial and military aircraft. Certified to DO-178B DAL A since 1998, the time and space partitioned RTOS features deterministic real-time response and employs patented “slack scheduling” to deliver higher CPU utilization than any other certifiable safety-critical COTS RTOS. Deos is built from the ground up for safety-critical applications, and is the only certifiable time and space partitioned COTS RTOS that has been created using RTCA DO-178B, Level A processes from the very first day of its product development. Deos also provides the easiest, lowest cost path of any COTS RTOS to DO-178B Level A certification, the highest level of safety criticality.
