DDC-I and Partners Demonstrate FACE-Conformant DO-178C Deos RTOS at Numerous Booths throughout Army Aviation Mission Solution Summit 2023

BOOTH # 607

Nashville, TN – April 21, 2023.  DDC-I, a leading supplier of software and professional services for mission- and safety-critical applications, today announced that it will exhibit at the Army Aviation Mission Solution Summit, which runs from April 26-28 at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel & Convention Center in Nashville, TN. DDC-I will showcase its FACE-conformant DO-178C Deos real-time operating system and OpenArbor development tools running on an Intel Tiger Lake reference platform in Booth 607.

A Deos/Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) demonstration will be held in the US Army booth #3014.  Additionally, the Deos environment will be featured on a Flight Management System on Open Display Platform – as well as – a Touchscreen Open Display Platform in the GE Aerospace booth #574.  Partner demonstrations include the integration of the Deos RTOS with CoreAVI graphics drivers, Ansys SCADE display running HMI and a moving map on an i.MX8 reference platform.

“We’re excited to be part of the Army Aviation Mission Solution Summit and look forward to once again demonstrating our world class, FACE-conformant safety-critical platform in numerous booths to the Army aviation community,” said Greg Rose, vice president of marketing and product management at DDC-I.

DDC-I’s Deos is a safety-critical time and space partitioned real-time operating system (RTOS). Verified to the guidance of DO-178C/ED-12C Design Assurance Level A (DAL A) for avionics applications, Deos supports ARINC 653 APEX, Rate Monotonic Scheduling (RMS), and is the first RTOS to receive the Future Airborne Capability Environment™ (FACE) Conformance Certificate for the FACE Technical Standard, Edition 3.1.  The certification covers the Safety Extended and Safety Base Profiles for the Operating System Segment (OSS).

SafeMC technology extends Deos’ advanced capabilities to multiple cores, enabling developers of safety-critical systems to achieve best in class multi-core performance without compromising safety critical task response and guaranteed execution time. SafeMC employs a bound multiprocessing (BMP) extension of the symmetric multiprocessing architecture (SMP), safe scheduling, and cache partitioning to minimize cross-core contention and interference patterns that affect the performance, safety criticality and certifiability of multi-core systems. These features enable avionics systems developers to address issues that could impact the safety, performance and integrity of a software airborne system as specified by the Certification Authorities Software Team (CAST).
