DDC-I to Present CAST-32A from a Software Perspective at Multicore for Avionics (MFCA) Workshop

Live demos include first running of Deos safety-critical RTOS on Curtiss-Wright’s quad-core Arm A53-based VPX3-1703 single-board computer

 

Multicore for Avionics (MCFA) Workshop, Bee Cave, Texas,  – October 29, 2019 – DDC-I, a leading supplier of software and professional services for mission- and safety-critical applications, today announced that it will present CAST-32A from a Software Perspective at the Multicore for Avionics (MFCA) Workshop, which will be held at the Sonesta Bee Cave Austin Hotel in Bee Cave Texas on October 29. DDC-I will also present several live multicore demos at the workshop featuring the Deos DO-178C safety-critical real-time operating system and SafeMC multicore technology.

The MFCA workshop, hosted by NXP, gives members unique access to the critical information needed to develop and certify avionics systems using COTS multicore SoCs. In addition to receiving updates on NXP multicore SoC roadmaps (Layerscape, i.MX, automotive S32x families), certification support package presentations, and the latest on software and tools for mixed criticality systems, attendees will have an opportunity to network with key NXP system architects and executives, MFCA peers, and eco-system partners.

Featured among the live demos will be the first running of Deos on Curtiss-Wright’s NXP Layerscape LS1043A Arm Quad-core A53 processor-based V3-1703 module, the industry’s first DAL A safety-certifiable Arm processor-based single board computer (SBC).  The demo provides an excellent example for system designers who are interested in building complete, rugged DO-254/DO-178 safety-certifiable avionics systems based on the Deos RTOS for aerospace, military and other high reliability markets. Deos with SafeMC technology will also be featured running on NXP’s i.mx8qm Quad Max development board.
