Demonstrates how Deos enables AI in embedded systems

Hall 4, BOOTH # 4-113

Nuremberg, Germany – March 05, 2026. DDC-I, a leading supplier of software and professional services for mission- and safety-critical applications, today announced that it will exhibit at the Embedded World Exhibition & Conference, which runs from March 10-12 at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg in Nuremberg, Germany. DDC-I will showcase its Deos™ safety-critical, multi-core avionics real-time operating system (RTOS) in Hall 4, Booth # 4-113. DDC-I will also host a demo featuring a Deos-based autonomous ground vehicle equipped with AI sense and follow, along with partner Klepsydra in booth 4-622.

“We’re excited to be part of the Embedded World Exhibition & Conference and look forward to sharing our world class RTOS with the safety-critical embedded community,” said Gary Gilliland, vice president of marketing at DDC-I. “This year we will be partnering with Klepsydra to demonstrate a safety-critical platform for autonomous vehicles featuring AI-based sense and follow capability.”

The Embedded World Exhibition & Conference provides a global platform and place to meet for the entire embedded community, including leading experts, key players, and industry associations. Embedded World is a must-attend event for developers, system architects, product managers, and technical management, offering unprecedented insight into the world of embedded systems, from components and modules to operating systems, hardware, and software design, M2M communication, services, and various issues related to complex system design.

About Deos

Deos is a time & space partitioned safety critical RTOS, which has been certified to DO-178 Design Assurance Level A (DAL A) since 1998. Deos has a proven track record of extensive usage in a wide variety of avionics systems across commercial and military aircraft. Deos provides many unique features to support development of safety-critical embedded applications. These include its multi-core SafeMC™ technology and the ability to enable application software component portability, where binary (not just source code) reuse of executables and shared libraries across product lines is the ultimate form of portability. SafeMC technology extends Deos’ advanced capabilities to multiple cores, enabling developers of safety-critical systems to achieve best in class multi-core performance without compromising safety-critical task response and guaranteed execution time. SafeMC employs a bounded multiprocessing (BMP) extension of the symmetric multiprocessing architecture (SMP), safe scheduling, and cache partitioning to minimize cross-core contention and interference patterns that affect the performance, safety criticality and certifiability of multi-core systems. These features enable avionics systems developers to address issues that could impact the safety, performance and integrity of a software airborne system executing on Multi-Core Processors (MCP), as specified by the FAA Advisory Circular AC 20-193.
